Kingston has some of the worst roads in Ontario. The City needs to invest more in keeping our roads in good condition. Continue to increase investment in the capital budget to get local roads in the district repaired.

We need to address the housing crisis by promoting housing across the housing continuum and encouraging affordable housing. Invest in pilot programs and modular homes. Promote smart densification. Work with transitional housing operators to provide support for vulnerable people.

Provide stable housing for the unhoused population and lobbying the province to provide adequate services for mental health and addiction

Kingston should go above and beyond the provincial accessibility standards. Direct staff to review municipal facilities to ensure best practices are in place above and beyond the provincial standard.

Work with partners to provide food pantries, pop up markets and make access to food easier for those in need. Continue investing in Kingston’s food framework.
